hello

i have got a 2950 that will not boot after a power down it looks like the flash as been lost.

can someone please tell me how i can get this switch to boot again.

Thanks

Are you sure its the flash memory? Any error messages in the console? Is it under warranty? If so, RMA it?

i am getting the error no files in boot folder

You can try and load a new flash image, if you get an error message that gives you a bad magic number, your flash is bad. Make sure it still shows the correct amount in flash too. Sounds like someone either erased it or it's bad flash.

Hi.

Is there anything on the console line.

any error messages or anyting else?

thanks for all your help

does anyone have the boot files for a cisco 2950 on ios 12

thanks

Need to have CCO to download from Cisco. Do yuo have any smartnet on your Cisco gear?

Interestingly, the software is free now and doesn't require SMARTnet. However, you need to have CCO access to the Software Center in order to download it.
