Hi,

Has anyone had failures where 2616 sets get disabled on NT8DO2GA cards ?

We have the situation (shown below) occur once every couple of months - for no apparent reason. The 2616 sets are all plugged in, so they are not disabling as part of the overnight LD60 TN sweep.

The only point to note in terms of the programming of these sets is they have multiple SCN's programmed on the KEY mappings, enabling you to see up to 4 other people's sets flash/display on your LCD when they are ringing or in use, so one set in use will show as BUSY across up to five sets on TN 13 - I would expect the line card would be capable of handling this form of loading ??

Is this always on the same line card? If so, maybe it is defective. This should not occur.

Yes - its always the same one - problem is, its the directors phones attached, so I have to be careful about downtime...

I'll try replacing it.

When the time is right, I would swap slots with another line card and tag the "bad" one to see if the problem follows the card before spending the money on a new one.

Also check the fibre from Cab 0 to 1 for any sharp turns as well. Sometimes fibre may get stressed depending on how it was run from 1 cab to the other. If you see any spots that are glowing try to releive the stress. Had similar trouble but other cards in the cabinet were effected as well. They would disable for no apparent reason. All cards tested fine when moved into cab 0.
Also it is LD 30 in mid's that can disable sets that arenot plugged in.
