I got a free 2503 from the company I worked for on my college holidays. I don't know the how to get into it and I don't have the password is there any way of setting it back to default?

Here's a forum link that explains how to connect to a Cisco router/switch through the console port:

To reset the password, you send a break sequence during the router's boot up to put it into ROMMON mode. This will allow you to bypass any existing passwords or configuration files. Cisco has a good how-to that will guide you through it:

If you need any further clarification, please let us know.

Hi Chicago Jim I'm a bit late getting back to you but my Bse course has been hard going. I got in with Hyper Ter 6.3 and have tried the cisco doc the link you posted but the Ctrl/Break did not work. I have attached the config can you help. Thanks dude

Just hold down break, not necessary for control + break
