2501 - Does it have rommon and xmodem???

Hey there, thank you for your help on this...

I'm having some trouble with a 2501 and i was wondering if someone could confirm for me that when you issue the ctrl+break command should it take you to rommon> or just >
and from there can you issue the xmodem command? Does a 2501 support xmodem?

I can't find anything on 2500 + xmodem right now, can you not boot into IOS and copy the image using tftp/ftp? Would be a million times easier/faster.

Cheers rtfmdude i will be tftpin this across now. I had a dodgy network card so couldnt at the time.

Hello there, there is no xmodem option in rommon mode for 25xx series routers. For any IOS upgrades you must send the router into bootmode as the main IOS image runs from flash and you will not be able to erase/modify or upgrade directly that image while running... Cheers and good luck
