What is the procedure for installing a new 16ELCJ card , we are using 16ELCJ-B cards in all 4 Pimms. When I plug in the 16ELCJ card no lights come on. Any help is appreciated.

That's Normal.

When the first LEN on that card is assigned the OPE lamp will light and the other 15 line status lamps will flash.

As an aside, by first LEN I mean any one of the 16 not the bottom LEN.

I tried this but still nothing. Is their any programming or dip switch settings that needs to be done on the card, Thanks.

Make sure the toggle switch is down ,

Only switch to watch for is SW01 POS 7 IF USING IN 16 ELC MODE HAVE IT ON
Normally 1-7 are on 8 is not used

What slot is your card and and waht LENS did you program the phone in

MB toggle is down and sw01 , 1 is off because we use APA's
and the rest are on. I used lens 011031 for a test and it did not work. Thanks

Ok pardon me if I ask a few dumb questions

The Lens is 011031 So your card should be in PIM1 slot 5

Check to make sure there is nothing else programmed in lens 011020-011037 like tec 18s etc.

I would try to add a tec 12 in 011020 that should be the first port on the card.

Try turning on SW01 Pos 1 just to see if the card comes up

Do you get any errors when programming the phone ?

Can you put another dterm card in that you know is good into that slot to see if it comes up?

Thanks for the help, it works just fine.
