HOSPITAL OPERATORS HAVE MOVED TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION AND WE STILL HAVE TO HAVE SECURITY SHUT THE PATIENT PHONES FROM THE CONSOLE AT EACH FACILITY. ANY WAY TO TURN THE PATIENT ROOMS ON/OFF REMOTELY.ANY SUGGESTIONS THANKS
Only the attendant console can use the group do not disturb. Have you thought about moving the console to a more convienent location? Maybe in the security area.
if you use a mica as a front end to your rooms, you can time table it, we did that at one site, went 5 digit on the rooms and got over 1000 did's back. if you know the room number, dial it now, we inserted a 5, any delay, 0, or a bad 1st digit went to the att anyway.. 64 channels for almost a 1000 rooms, not in use outbound, never saw any blocking, which would have ovdn'ed to the att anyway
works like a mini mail menu service, you have tons of options time of day dial thrus is the feature i used. you could call certain blocks of number on exact schedules. plugs into an ipe, needs a ip interface, cable package that comes off the back of the ipe.. very simple gui interace, web page type.. i took it out of the box, 2 hours later i was training the inhouse guys to make changes..
MICA = Meridian Integrated Call Assistant. Its a Nortel product. I think its just called ICA now. Nortel dropped Meridian from a bunch of names (MICA/ICA, MIPCD/ICD, MIRAN/IRA, etc...).
