Our Meridian 2250 Console is frozen on BUSY. I've tried disabling and re-enabling the TN and the box hsa been rebooted. Calls currently will transfer to the next point of coverage but when the forwarding is activated to send it to the night recording, calls just ring out.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. All connections and handset/headset connections have been checked.

unplug the 25pair going into it, let it sit for a minute and then plug it back in

Also make sure the handset is plugged in correctly.

Thanks - Did both of the above earlier and the console is still stuck on BUSY.

does the night service key light up? Can you get it to go away? Is the key maybe stuck?

The NIGHT key does not come on. It's stuck on BUSY and we can not get it off BUSY. We've tried enabling the NIGHT position, but nothing happens.

Will the BSY lamp go out when you press that key again? I guess my question is does the BSY lamp stay steady the whole time no matter what also?

Yes, the POSITION BUSY light stays on no matter what we do.

Although previously posted, there is a 99% chance that the handset (or two prong adapter with headset or amp) is not plugged in, or is on the wrong side or is upside down.

Are you using a headset and have you checked batteries if you use an amplifier box?

do you only have 1 console? maybe disable the card that the console is on and re enable it, otherwise, ini the switch

Try replacing with a spare 2250. If you still have problem try outing and reprogramming.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. As is often the case, it was something simple. The console, when rebooted, was defaulting to Administrator mode after logging in. A secondary option should've been chosen. I still have no idea what caused the initial POSITION BUSY freeze, though.
