We have 5 wireless handsets that seem to be working fine otherwise, but they will not ring out loud. They are programmed as SCR DN's and each handset has been configured individually to ring at the hightest volume.

Has anyone run into this issue before and/or can anyone suggest a solution?

Thanks in advance for the help!

It is possible to turn thr ringing off in the Handset programming Tool (HAT) even if you have SCR in the switch. You need place the hansets back in the charge with the USB port connect to your PC and run the HAT again.

Is it possible to do the same thing on the phone itself? The phones are at a remote site and we don't have a capable person there who can run the HAT.

Yes, the phone have several profile the user can select. One is Silent, one is Vibrate, one is Loud, one is Soft, and one is Custom. Press the soft key “Prof” should be the second one from the left, select the profile you want. Press the Enter key. This is the round button in the center below the 4 soft keys

Ok, so we tried the profile changes and it still didn't work. We tried Loud and vibrate and the only thing that works is the silent mode. She can see the call coming in but again, no audible/physical indication.

Help! =)

Have they ever worked?
You have to look at the handset profile by running the "Handset Administration Tool" (HAT). I have over 200 of these handset inservice, and have never had this problem until a contractor decide to turn the volume down in the HAT profile, you could still choose which profile you wanted but the level was set to 1. (You can't hear level 1).
Have somebody call the handset and try turning up the volume with the keys on the side of the phone. If that work then it been turned down in the HAT profile.

Unfortunately, it didn't work. Back to the drawing board...

Open Handset setting editor, then loud profile and check what is under Ring volume if it’s 0 change it to 7 or what ever you want and that should do it.

Thanks, but that was the first thing we tried.

Ok, we finally got it. Operator error strikes again. You can lead a horse to a water fountain but you can't teach 'em to push the right button to make it work....

Thanks everyone for your help!
