morning all, my SMGR server is giving everyone headaches bcos there are sync jobs scheduled to run but they never run. right now I see 21 jobs in a "pending execution" state and "enabled".

we also have 2 CM's that are supposed to sync to SMGR but they fail a lot bcos the midnight "Active Directory" sync takes too long, about 5 hours.

so I have the following syncs starting at midnight every night:
Active Directory
AAM
CM

and if any of the syncs takes longer than expected, it delays the next sync or the sync just never executes. it shows pending execution all the time.

how do I kill a pending job, and second, how do I clean this up so that it runs smoothly?

not that simple bud. tried that already, no cigar.

when I try to disable and then delete, it tells me the job is running.

nope. I opened a ticket for Avaya to review and they told me that the jobs have to be deleted from the DB, but only Avaya can delete them. I would not be able to delete them from the DB myself. lately Avaya support is about a 6 out of 10 in terms of reliability and first class support. so I believe them but wish there was a way that I could do it myself.

doesn't hurt to reboot it. I always start there unless I know for sure what processes to kill and/or restart. I'm sure Avaya will get it sorted for you.

I rebooted the server last week for a different issue. not going to reboot the server every time there's a new hiccup. if I took that approach, I'd be rebooting this stupid box every week...
