I'm trying to configure a 2050pc phone and running into some trouble. I CAN get the phone to connect, but I cannot make either internal or external calls. I get re-order tone. I have the node ip address entered and the license server address also inputted. Is there something else i'm missing?

Also is there a reccommended headset that works well with the 2050? I'd like to answer and terminate calls from the headset without having to click on the screen. I currently have a jabra 9330e usb headset hooked up. It works great with the 1140 but not so well with the 2050.

Thanks for the help

here is my 2050 build:

Does it happen to be in the wrong zone?? You should have it in the same zone as you are trying to call.
Also can you post a build of a working 1140? Or it could be an issue with your 244 virtual TN such as you may not have a TIE route or access route configured?

here's the 1140

Try matching the NCOS then ... I have seen where a call could be blocked because the TGAR or NCOS don't match.

2050
TGAR 1
LDN NO
NCOS 5

1140
TGAR 1
LDN NO
NCOS 4

OR ... the only other thing I see strange is your SCPW ...
SCPW xxxx Station Control Password ffc-15
The Station Control password is used for the
Electronic Lock and Remote Call Forward
features. This entry must equal the Station
Control Password Length (SCPL) as defined
in LD 15.
Not prompted if SCPL = 0. See Flexible
Feature Codes in the

We don't use it so I am not exactly sure of the operation.

I had the ncos originally set to 4...the scpw I believe is being used for vitual office

Try the newer version of 2050 . Rls 3.
It shouldn't matter but who knows..

It's only dialtone-VZ

When do you get reorder tone? Once you finish dialing or before you enter the last digit?

Do you get reorder when dialing to another IP set or when dialing a TMD set or TDM trunk?

Can you receive calls on the 2050?

Yep agree with Arriero at this point we need to know when you get reorder tone. You said with internal and external calls so I assume the 1140 you posted works properly.
Very interesting indeed - the only other thing I can think of is if you have something setup on your data network that would block (since you don't specify VLAN on a 2050).

Also, when using your 2050 are you local to your office or trying via VPN or some other method?

I get reorder tone after all the digits are entered. It's dialing ip set to another ip set. The external is ip to sip trunk... Doesn't seem like a nars/bars issue...also the 1140 i posted is my desk phone and working fine.

Try removing SCPW ,Change CLS CTD to TLD.
I guess it has something to do with your NCOS or CTD.Also if you have VLAN setup in the data switch port, ask them it is not blocking the connectivity to PABX IPs(MGC,CS etc)
Also try disabling windows firewall. The recommended headset models you can view from softphone diagnostics.

Carb11:

What about the IP Addresses of the 2050, the 1140 and the Signaling Server TLAN?

Are the 3 elements in the same subnet or different subnets?

If they are in different subnets, check all default gateways for the 3 elements including Signaling Server.

Okay one last thing - I have seen where there could be blocking using the wrong Caller ID so your 1140 is using CLID list 0 and your 2050 softphone is using list 1:

KEY 00 SCR 7870 0 MARP

KEY 00 SCR 7870 1

I am still curious about your dialing scenario - such as if you are calling on your softphone from outside your company (such as VPN from home) or if you are at your desk with your 1140 also trying to call on your softphone). I just tested that here and I can call from my softphone (same extension) to my 1140 (same extension) and they both ring at the same time. Just seems that you must have something blocking your call :)

Thanks...I'm calling from my desk at work to my 1140 phone next to me...

I'll try changing caller ID

Cool that is what I was hoping you were doing to rule out VPN and such. Yep the only other-other thing I can think of is something on your VLAN or network blocking it - since it is going thru your PC and you don't set VLAN for 2050PC :) right?
