2008 Display Phones

I just started at a company that uses 2008 display phones. I have entered all the names and have checked the CLS thanks to previous threads posted here. However, I still can not get names to display on the phone. Coming from the Siemens world I know that the display phones will work but if you have the wrong model type not all the functionality is there. Any suggestions?

you have names built in 95, nama add, cpna, if type =2008, you can do a leei (rolm) from ld 32 idu 20 0 0 0, or 20 0 in a opt 11. that tells you the chip type in the set. if that don't fix it post a set here. and we'll get back to you, fyi i came from rolm (7000) 9751 9004 bsck ground, left the orange world because of the 9006, two installs and the 81's looked much better..

The phone may need a power supply (and/or power board installed in the phone)to power the display and if you have power, be sure to use a 6-conductor line cord because the power gets to the phone on the 3rd (gn/w,w/gn) pairs. I think if you look at the bottom of the phone, if the line cord and handset cord plugs are positioned in the same direction you should not need power and if they are oppisite, you need power.( at least that is true with a m2616)

i haven't used a power supply on a dig set in year, add turns on the display, key 7 must be blank, key 15 uxt be blank for hfa to work. nama ddga... i left rolm because of the 9006, installed a couple but hated the change from 9005, even the 8000 (orange) was a better switch then the 9006

if you haven't found the software feature guide yet, you'll need to grab one, makes the gray switch much easier. you'll also notice that you don't proram exten in this one, just put them on a phone, if marps turned on the forwards, hunts i e i e, are controled by the tn the set is marped on. that took a little getting used to when i jumped ship.
