Hi

I am rolling out a bunch of 2004 phones replacing a mixture of Nortel Digital.
Some of my users made use of a "caller list" function on the digital sets, however i can't find this feature on the 2004. Does this feature exist? If so, how do I implement it?

Cheers

Yes it does exist, it just needs enabling on the Sig. Server.
In Element Manager, Configuration - IP Telephony - Personal Directories Server Configuration, enter the IP address of the Sig. Server in the first box.
Took me a lot of searching through the Nortel documentation to find out how to do it, they don't exactly make it easy to find!

Ah, that poses a problem!
Not sure if there is a way of doing it without a Sig Server, as I understand that is where all the call info. is stored.

You have to have a singnalling server and the system has to be atleast rls 4...

derbydave,

Does this also allow you to utilize the "directory" button on the i2004 sets as well? When I press the "directory" button, I just get a "No Application Available" message. I have a sigalling server, but we're only running 3.0 at this time.

I find it annoying that every new phone I roll out, I get the question from the user, "How do I access my personal directory?".

Phoney,

Yes it does.
The callers list, redial list + personal directory are all under the "directory" button.
We're running rls 4.0, don't know whether it is available on 3.0.
Have a look in element manager.

Dave.

I don't see it anywhere under Configuration - IP Telephony. Guess I'll wait for 4.0

Thanks,

You can use the corporate directory feature with 3.0 as long as you have OTM to create the directory.
