I just joined a new Windows 2003 Storage Server to my domain which is Windows 2000 Active Directory. I can surf the web and copy files over. I can’t seem to see or use my Active Directory 2000 to set file permissions. The only users and groups I see are local users and groups. This is my first Windows 2003 server…how can I begin giving my Active Directory 2000 users and groups permission to use the files on this new Storage Server?

Verify you are using the Windows 2000 DNS in your network settings.

Do you get any errors? How are you attempting to add the users?
