Hi There,

Ive been having a problem for a couple of weeks now with my RAS box.

i installed SP1 and had no problems... Then SP2 and after the reboot i couldnt connect externally using standard VPN connection on XP.

I have two NIC's on the RAS one which is internal LAN and one external DMZ.

I did some debugging via syslog and it looks like the connections coming into the DMZ and the RAS, box but then trying to return via the internal network and out the firewall again, and that’s where it’s being dropped.

So I “think” it’s something to do with the default gateway setup on the RAS servers network interfaces?

Its my first time configuring a RAS and im near 100% sure i have all the IP settings for the DMZ as provided by our ISP.

Users are currently routed VIA out US office to connect VIA VPN, but this has performance issues and isnt ideal.

Any help would be grately appreciated.

disable use standard gateway for remote network in the tcp/ip config of the ras-client

This isnt an issue with the client. i can VPN in now externally but i cannot ping my Exchange which is on my WAN, i can ping all LAN based Servers, but it cant seem to get out of the router...

Anyone else with any ideas?!
