Strange problem happened yesterday, Our 2003 server just stopped accepting connections you could not log in via terminal services but you could log in by console. There are no errors in the sys log or any data loss. A reboot was required and then everyone could connect again. The only error was in the dns log where it said ntfs replication and something about backup.

Has anyone experienced this problem ?

Is there a way to find out if someone tripped over a network connection to the server? Sounds like the connection just died, and didn't restore, but after the reboot, started communicating correctly.

Thats Kinda of what i was thinking but no one is admitting to doing such a thing, i was also thinking that maybe our switch had a packet failure. I cannot see any errors at all in the log.
