We are using RDC, Sql Server 2000, IIS and running Crystal reports 9. We are using activexviewer9.cab#Version=9,2,2,511.

I have a set of reports that previously worked fine. Now when I attempt to run them from a 2003 Webserver some of them return a report that looks like it is trying to put itself into a tiny box on the screen. At first it looks like the report returned completely blank but down in the middle is about 7 characters from the report. If I double click on the whitespace, I see nothing. If I double click on the few characters that I can see I get a craxdrt error: 2147189433. I cannot find any documentation on this error.

Reports that do work are almost identical to ones that don't work. Same record sets (ado), connections, etc. They were made as clones of each other.

Again, everything works if the Webserver is earlier than 2003.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks you,
Deborah

Crystal renders reports based on the default printer. Check that the 2003 PC has the same default printer as the other PCs .

hth,

Visual CUT & DataLink Viewer:
view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.

Thank you. Adding a default printer indeed solved the problem. I still have a few questions about this. How come it didn't happen to all my reports, reports that were built as clones of one another? In other words, is there something I can do to a report that will make it work without adding a default printer? Is this a specifically 2003 issue, Crystal 9, 10 or is it a specific report issue?

Thanks again,
Deborah
