Problem: others can get to the website from WAN but I cannot access the site from a web browser from the LAN.

When I type in the url ( from the LAN, I am routed to a google search page.
This is my first time hosting or working on a website ( my wife's site so I am still green in this area.

Any help is appreciated.

This is correct operation. What is happening is the firewall that you are behind will deny this traffic. If this is the default web site on the server use this address to edit and view web site. Example hostname of server is. If it is not default web site, an alias name must be created, and a local dns server must be available to allow you to view website locally. The alias record on the Dns server must match the Web Site Identity name and point to the IP Address of the web server. Hope this will clarify it a bit.
