Hi,

I am looking for a solution for fax machines. Staff don’t want to dial trunk access code every time they send a fax as all faxes are sent to external parties. I would like to hotline the fax to PSTN with post dialing if possible. I have looked through the manuals and can’t come up with a solution.

Thanks
Peter

Might I suggest a different way.

Set up a new tennant with a different number plan (Cmd 201 for example) with each first digit being set to A129 then the most basic lcr setup to send them to the appropriate trunk route and then set all the faxs to that tennant.

Forgot to mention you'll need Cmd 29 to allocate the new tennant to the new numbering plan.

I use this setup as well, might I suggest using tenant 63. If you ever have remote pims, you can then use tenants 1, 2, 3 etc. for each site to setup 911 patterns to local loop trunks and then the tenant matches the site number keeping it easy to remember when add/del/move stations around.

Hi

I always found that 'hotline' is often the feature used to do this on most systems but never worked for me with this 'fax machine situation'. As the guys have said - using the tenancy should do it instead.

cheers
