2000 server keeps rebooting before login

win2k server keeps restarting right before it hits the login
prompt to enter username/password box.
i get through the screen to hit f8 and the one that has the
startup bar. right after that it reboots. no error messages at all.

What type of server is this? I had this problem with w2k prof. I changed some settings in cmos and corrected the problem.

I hand this problem on my w2k server w/exchange 2000 server and it turned out to be a problem with active directory. I had to boot into directory restore mode and restore the system state.
