I am working on installing 200 icp in motel. It only has 1 console and everything else is guest rooms. I am a little confused on the cor groups and members. I have all my digit strings built and working with local and long distance built correctly. My question is in a motel environment where person at console toggles rooms for loca and long distance calls is cor even needed? I don't know what takes precedence cor or guest room being set for ld. Right now I have no cor built and everything seems to work correctly when toggling between local and long distance. I hope I explained this well.

Yes, in a hotel environment, you typically leave the rooms unrestricted by COR except for the calls that you might might want to block completely.

Designating a route as LD can only be dialed if the room is set to LD
Emergency designation is unrestricted even if phone is set to internal
Local of course, is what you can dial when set to local.

You should still use COR restrictions for Common Area phones such as Lobby or House phones so that they would remain restricted regardless of the INT/LOC/LD assignment

Voicemail ports should also be restricted by COR.
