2 up printing

I am trying to print to a HP 8150N. I would like to take a document that is currently printing portrait 2 pages and print it landscape on one page (page 1 & 2 side by side.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are printing from windows, the the HP driver should have the ability to do what you want directly.

If you are printing from DOS or UNIX in a PCL context, then you use the sheet offset command to reset the left margin position, and the move the cursor back to the top line to print the second half.

This will probably require that you use a smaller font.

If the text is short enough on both pages, you might be
able to simply change the LPI (after going to landscape)
(for example from 6 to 8 LPI) which may allow you to
print without chaning the font size. In any case, you
will most likely need to change the LPI irregardless of
the font used (or use a vertical position command on
each line)

If you read both pages in at one time, you should be able
to print it all without changing the margin (except perhaps
at the outset).
