I recently purchased a 2 Tb USB disk from LaCie that I connected to my Sun Blade 2500, which is recently reinstalled with Solaris 10. The disk shows up in /dev/dsk and /dev/rdsk but doesn't show up under the format utility.

Sun had me tweaking a /kernel/drv/usba10_scsa2usb.conf file under Solaris 9 and we eventually got the drive to appear, but labeling it resulted in a 'Warning: error writing EFI' error.

Any ideas as far as getting the disk recognized?

Thanks!!

May be it does require a vendor(LaCie) specific usb drivers for solaris? Check with Lacie.
