Hi all,

We have MICS 4.1 with NAM 4.0 phone system and another system CICS 4.0 with startalk 2.0.04LC-4ch.
My question is what do I need to make the 2 systems work for the same company having extentions able to talk to each other without accecing CO lines?
Any input will be appreciated

You are kind of limited between a CICS and MICS. Two MICS work great with E&M trunking, or Digital trunk cards. I have had some limited success using ATA's between CICS systems but no DS and on the newer software it seemed to fall flat on its face. Maybe someone else has experimented like this with more success.

Thanks for the reply MarvO,
I was thinking of using ATA's between the MICS & CICS are you saying this might not work? I would like to know befor I buy the ATA's because I don't have any to try.

The nortel VOIP gateway is probably what you are lookiing for. check out thread799-729191 you will end up with your interswitch trunks set uup as DNIS to accept the digit drops. then routing codesand target lines to get the calls routed on station dialing.

Good point Jerry. I keep forgeting about equipment that I haven't had my hands on yet. I am getting anxious to work (play) with the gateway.
