I have two Servers. One is a 192.168.1.1 scheme and the other is 192.168.4.1 scheme. They are connected across a T1 Point to point. I can do a net view server name and get shared drives. I then do net use T: \\server\share and get nothing but some weird error 53 or something.

Any help would be great. Thanks, AV

if you run \\server name\ then you must make sure that both servers can resolve each other name.
Try ping server1, if you got an unknown host name then you'll need to add a name server, either WINS or DNS.

For a temporary solution, edit LMHOST file in system32\drivers\etc.

put an entry there such as
server1 192.168.4.1

I can ping it just fine. If I run Net View, I can see it and everything on it. I just can't map a drive. It could need a password and user name to map a drive on that Network but I don't know how to add this to the command line.

Thanks AV

net use T: \\server\share password /user:username
