Hi,
I have 2 servers (a B50 and a pseries) and they are using "Spanning Tree" when I boot over the network.
Even so, the ports used by these servers are NOT using the "negociation Spanning Tree". The ports are configured to function in "portfast". It's the guy working in networking that confirm me this.
1st Question:
Is there something, that I don't know, configure on my AIX server that tells to use "Spanning Tree" even if the ports are configured to NOT using this protocol?
2st Question:
When I "network boot", I've always this informationnal message. BOOTP: Wait 60 Seconds for Spanning Tree..
Is it possible to configure it at 30 seconds?
Any help will be appreciate. I am using AIX 5200-04.
