I'm setting up a test Exchange 5.5 Server - it's part of another domain that has an Exchange organization already. I want to keep it totally separate. If I install Exchange with a different organization name, will it not cause any problems for the existing production one?

Thank you. Tom Jacobson ...

Should be Fine - I currently have two Exchange servers running at 1 site!

Yep, we have that too. But I'm talking about a different ORGANIZATION - which is the major grouping structure of Exchange.

Thanks. Tom Jacobson ...

It should be fine. The only are of concern would be your IMS. Do you have multiple connections to the Internet? It is possible to share a single connection (have both MX records pointing to the same address) but this requires a little extra finesse on the inside. Quite doable however.
Good Luck

Thanks Al, Right now we don't have an internet connection locally. We go through a bridgehead server at another site. Thanks for your input!
