Hey Guys

I have a request for one of our users to check another mailbox. So I need to create another mailbox and have this user check it. I know how to create the mailbox but I am not sure what do put when it asks for

4. Enter the mailbox number (extension. you want to add
6. Extension: Usually the same as the mailbox number

Since this mailbox will be a general mailbox per say and not any's own mailbox. Would any mailbox number work? And what would I put for extension? And I don't need to tie it to a phone. Just need the user be able to check it.

Any instruction on how do do this would be great.

Thank you.

If your exts. are say 221-2xx then just build a mailbox in the 300 range and don't give it a ext. You can check any mailbox from any phone on the system by pressing feature 981 then press other then enter mailbox # followed by password.

@norstarboy125 Thank you. I will try that tomorrow and hopefully all works smoothly.

@norstarboy125 if our Extension range is from 300-399. Can I make this mailbox, say 299?

@norstarboy125 I tried doing it; and when it ask for extension I have to type in something. Other wise it doesn't let me continue. How can I leave the extension blank?
