Does anyone know how to set up 2 ip addresses of the same LAN on one interface??

it should look something like this.

interface FastEthernet0
ip address 172.16.6.1 255.255.255.0 secondary
ip address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0
no ip directed-broadcast
shutdown

I am sorry, but I am a bit confused.

So, I cannot set
192.168.10.1/24 and
192.168.10.2/24
on the same interface, can I??

We are going to remove a router, but then, we will have
an extra ip address, which cannot be removed because
it is used as default.

We tested "secondary address", but it seemed okay if
they are of the same network.

Thanks a lot

Using the secondary interface allows you to use two IPs on the same interface connected to the same network. Pretty common trick to use when you are trying to migrate from one subnet to a new one but can not afford the downtime.

I use it alot for testing without breaking any current network connection.
