just a smal question regarding Windows XP, is it possible to have to graphics cards setup in the one machine.

I had an ATI Rage 128 Pro which i liked as it had tv out capabilities, but i couldnt play certain games such as mafia and the thing, i then obtained a Nvidia Geforce 2 Card which works with all the games i have including mafia and the thing, but the way the tv out works is through s-video and i dont hav an svideo port on the back of my television.

so im wondering if its possible to have the geforce card in to play my games and have teh ati card for tv put purposes?

i heard it works on 2000, just wondered if anyone knew?

cheers

If you get an S-Video to Scart or Composite then you should be able to use it without the hassle of configuring two cards. It can be done but it can be extremely difficult.

Sometimes it helps to configure the Twinview/Nview with a tv that has S-Video and then connect it to the Scart or Composite tv, make sure you don't choose "detect displays" after you have set it up.

The main problem with S-Video to Scart connectors is that they are usually either "input" or "output" and they need to be both for the card to detect the display. ---------------

Yes, if you have the ports open on your PC you can have multiple video cards and multiple screen output on W2K and XP. CJ

Don't drink and post, save that for driving home!
