I am having two glitches now after my upgrade to 4.2.14(no big surpise normal Avaya)
1. When my user transfers(using the transfer button on the phone) it used to ring for awhile and then go to the users VM now it rings awhile and if the user does not answer it rings back to the user that did the transfer.
2. Inbound Calls used to show the phone number when they were ringing in but now it say "Voicemail" until you answer and then after to you answer it showes the Caller ID.

There were no setting changes just the upgrade that caused this. I know this is probably stupid but I have not found it in my searches online.

you can copy them into it

Try transferring 2 ways:

Transfer to 282 by keying in the digits not pressing the button.

A call that hasn't come through voicemail using the key and the keypad

What happens when you just dial the extension 282 does that go to voicemail? Also check the time how long it will take for it to answer.

Have you or the customer did some changes and ignore "When free" even when is told you to "merge" it?

What do you mean by keying in the digits? they are using the transfer button and then hitting tranfer once it starts ringing???

bas1234 if you dial the extension and it rings for awhile it does go to VM

TheTaker means press transfer+282+transfer instead of pressing the DSS key.

Try a workaround;

Create a shortcode;

Code; #XXX
Feature; Voicemail collect
Telnr; "#"N

Then you can press transfer and #282 and press transfer again or hangup.

have you checked the avaya caveats?

perhaps this is now design intent.

if this isnt how you want the switch to work, revert bck to 4.1? is there a specific feature you need in 4.2?

@Monkey It should work, back to 4.1 is not a good option, it has a lot of bug who are solved in 4.2.11 and up.

maybe i am reading that trace wrong. but it seems to present back at 200 immediately?

3/16/09 4:08:33 PM-369ms Call Ref = 13957, Alerting, Extension = 282, Button = 2
3/16/09 4:08:53 PM-373ms Call Ref = 13957, Alerting, Extension = 200, Button = 1

what buttons are programmed on 200?

@TomMills, don't listen to TheTaker. He is a strange person who likes to see people in a different way.
