I currently have 2 exchange servers set up in the same network, but 2 different domains.
Each server can send and receive mail without problems, except from inside the company.
server a = company.com
server b = company.org

server a can not send emails to anybody@company.org
server b can not send emails to anybody@company.com

The error I receive on each is [Host unreachable]
anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks!

You're having problems with the name resolution. Obviously you cannot connect to your local server with a public IP, it's simple.
Test it yourselft, try to ping mail.company.org or smtp.company.org and you will get no reply (unless your ISP holds SMTP traffic for you). Your server resolves the name for company.com, it then gets the public IP of SMTP but it cannot use it since they both sit on the local network.
If you use Pix firewall use ALIAS command to fix the issue, or your local DNS serrver to associate company.org and company.com with the appropriate PRIVATE IPs.

Or you could tell the IMS on each to server to deliver mail to the other domaion by sending the mail directly to it's IP address.

Internal DNS services would solve this problem.

thanks!
I used stiles123 suggestion telling IMS where to send.
connections/e-mail domain added the company.org and internal ip address to each.
