2 columns reverting back to 1

I have a number of reports set up for 2 columns (Down then across)They look great - print great. But every so often they mysteriously revert back to one column.
Once I go into "Page Setup" and change the numbers back everything is fine again, for a while.

I am currently using Access 2000 (I think I had the same problem in Access 97) Windows XP Pro.

I remember reading once of someone else haveing this problem way back. Not sure if a solution was found? Any ideas?

That sure sounds like what I am dealing with
I'm downloading the Service Pack now
Time will tell (Since it does not do this everyday)
