Hello all, I have a client who has an existing citrix server outside of there subnet publishing 4-5 apps for them. I have now been told that this site also needs access to apps on a citrix server on yet a different subnet. My question is can the users have apps that point to citrix serverA and other apps that point to citrix server b using the same program neigborhood etc. Thanks in advance

You should be able to specify the IP address when you set up your application set. It is immaterial whether they are in the same sub-net, merely that they be in the same domain. Haven't done this, will be interesting to see the initialization and listing of the applications on the 2 different servers. I am hoping Citrix will continue to query the 2nd server after getting the app info from the first? If I am wrong on this, please let me know. Can never tell when you might run into this in the future.

Good luck.

you can create an ica file with the following to point to specific server in the the same of different domain.

It is a nightmare to adminsitrate so many files for lots of users and the clear password option is insecure but it works but you can seperate domains. We chnage the icons for different ica files to make it appear the user has the app installed on their desktop

Oneworld is just an application set in the example below.

Good luck. J.

This is a good case for using Web Interface. If you utilize web interface 2.0 you can point to both server farms. Then the client can use PN agent or use a web browser to connect. This would make for easy administrattion long term

Just an update, I havent had that much time to work on this however I ended up just adding the app to a custom ica connection, this seems to just publish the desktop so I have it to just open the app on the desktop, I am having some app difficulties however I believe the citrix piece is fine. Once the custom app is created i just add a shortcut to the desktop and viola~
Now I just need to get the app to work properly, it sits on a novell fileserver and is really finicky.
I am also definitely going to look into the Web interface which would really make this alot easier for me to publish enterprise wide apps.
Thanks for all the posts
