To fix the divide by zero issue a patch, needs to be applied. The documentation indicates it is only for the 2.6 series.

From the readme with the 2.6 patches:

The patches for version 2.6a of FoxPro can only
be used to upgrade from version 2.6. If you wish
to upgrade to version 2.6a, and you do not currently
have version 2.6, it will be necessary to order
disks. To order disks, please contact the Microsoft
office in your country. In the United States,
please call Microsoft Sales & Customer Service at
(800) 426-9400 to order 2.6a disks.

After calling Sales & Customer Service, they have no idea what to send.

So this begs the following questions:

1) Does any one have the part number for the upgrade media?
2) Is there an electronic method to get the upgrade files?
3) Is there a methodology to apply the "fast computer" patch to the 2.5 series?

Since Fox 1.x and 2.x have been discontinued for years, Microsoft don't support or sell it any more. You can still possibly find those versions out and about, but well, good luck.
In the meantime, you can follow the link in my signature to get patches for 2.5 and 2.6.
Scroll down until you find "DZPATCH.EXE (Freeware)" and go from there.

Even more Fox stuff at:

From your site:

The IPatchFP.exe download contains a version of the patch that is not version-specific ...

This is contrary to the readme included with the patch found at ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/developr/fox/public/UPDATES

We will try it.

I have not tried the DZPATCH, but on 2.50b I applied the PATCH2X.exe to both foxprow.exe and the 205b esl file.

We will be testing the application for regression next, but the app launches.

Thanks.

I believe Microsoft's "not version specific" phrase applies to FoxPro variant versions sold in other languages.

Over the years I have used both PATCH26 and DZPATCH

I found that PATCH26 had an issue (it has been too long ago to remember exactly what) where it would not work in all situations.

DZPATCH is the most 'generic' and will work without problems.

Good Luck,
