Hey, I don't remember this being in the 2.1.24 release notes, thought it was supposed to be new in R3.

Just discovered that changing the ring types in a users telephony tab now works for users with 44xx phones. Cool, eh?

Code creep - not you personally Morrack.

Won't be the first time something in the next release has made its way into the later issues of the previous release.

Well spotted.

LOL - thanks for clarifying that it wasn't ME you were calling a creep.... who is this code guy, and why are you talking about avaya programmers that way?? :)

Peter

I think that it is just the cadance, not the ring tone.

It's both - remember the magix ring tones, 1 and 8 were unique and 2-7 were all slight variations of each other? This appears to be the same ones. The point being, we can set them for different kinds of calls now through the user forms - and yes it does play the ringtone you select for inside or outside or ringback calls.

I noticed that too Peter. I came in the next morning after the upgrade to (24) and the receptionists' phones had a weird ring tone. They liked the new ring tone better so I just left it. It was kind of weird that it only changed ring tones on the reception area phones though.

Check in your config and you'll probably find someone had changed the settings for ring tones in the reception area phones in the hopes it would work, then left them like that. The changes only took effect after upgrading to .24

This is exactly what happened at one of my sights.
