1st time configuration problem.

Hi,

After I installed notes client, I cannot connect the client to the Domino server eventhough there's a network connection by TCP/IP to the server.
the message I get "Cannot find user name or server in the database"
I know for sure that the user and server names are correct.

Have you tried creating a connection document? HOSTfile with proper IP Address, DNS resolution working correctly. Can you connect to the machine by typing in the IP Address directly?

I solved this problem.

I understood that when you create a user and install the client on a different station for the first time, so the system lets you do that, but if you uninstall it, or try to install that same registered user, you won't be able to do that because the user's ID file was already downloaded to the first installed client.
