We recently added DSL service which is using the ip addrfess of 192.168.254.254 to our office. We have a cisco router that is communicating to our remote office that is using a different subnet, 192.168.1.1/24. What is the best solution to this dilemma?

Thanks

What's your dilemma? Your remote office is on another subnet .... you have a router ....????

Please explain.

DSL is on 192.168.254.0 network
Cisco is on 192.168.1.0 network

How will workstations access internet that are on 192.168.1.0 network? Need dynamic routing to take place or static route. Cannot put static route in DSL device.

Is the 192.168.254.0 network on the LAN side of the DSL router? If so, why not just change it to 192.168.1.0? If your DSL provider is presenting the connection on an ethernet presentation then they should have asked you what your internal LAN addressing scheme is.

Or you could just connect a Cisco router with two ethernet interfaces to the DSL and your network. Then just route between 192.168.254.0 and 192.168.1.0.
