Hello Everyone,

I have a customers Avaya Partner ACS phone system that lost power and the back up batteries in the processor were bad. Extension 10 came back up and works but doesn't have access to line 4 anymore. It's the only extension with this problem. I inspected the programming on all the buttons and found that the button for line 4 had a feature called caller ID inspect on it. I removed the feature and reprogrammed the line assignments for all the lines and line 4 still doesn't work. I need to get this figured out today if possible and that's why I'm reaching out for advice.

Thanks,

Doug

Did you use Number of Lines (#104) or Line Assignment (#301)? Either way, does x10 now show Line 4 programmed on that button? If so, I'm wondering what you mean by "it doesn't work". If you're not getting a dial tone, it could be that your blade took a dive after that power failure (unless you can get line #4 on other sets). Pls give just a bit more detail about the troubleshooting so far.

I used #301 and when I inspect the button again it shows blank but the line shows that it was programmed. Line 4 works fine on the other sets.

Copy a working extension to Ext. 10
#399 - dial an extension number that is programmed properly - 10
