Hi all. We have an existing 1720 router and just added a WIC-1DSU-T1 module. IP 199.1.1.X on this 1721. At a remote site just added a 1751 w/the same DSU module. Our problem is that we need to keep the same 199.1.1.x on the remote 1751. Is there a way to do this? If so how? The 1751 gives a conflict IP message and wants to setup a different subnet. Thanks in advance for any help.

You can extend a subnet over a wan link but you'll be sending a lot of (unnecessary) broadcast traffic over it. If this is something you have to do than look into setting up transparent bridging.

Thanks jgercken, any help setting up transparent bridging? We finally got all the telcom issues out of the way and are now attempting to get the two routers communicating using full T1. Any ideas on configuration to get them communicating? Shouldn't be this tough. Thanks in advance.

you could go ahead and set up a network just for the wan link. then if you nat at both locations they could use the same network addresses but would see each other as a different network.
