We just received our first AVAYA 1692 (Polycom) IP phones. We are on CM 5.1 and a 1692 is not a listed phone type. Does anyone know what model alias should be used for this phone?

We are using 4690 IP Polycoms and they look like the 1692...

From the Avaya support site:
Additional Network Configuration Settings and Setup:
• Uses DHCP Scope Option 242
• Uses HTTPS or HTTP (HTTPS is only available for downloading Configuration files from CM and when using Avaya signed digital certificates)
• Administered as 4620 Terminal type
• Use with CM 4.0 or later

Has anyone set up the HTTP .cfg files and knows exactly what needs to be inserted and where? My DHCP is recognized by other 9620's and I understand the .cfg files have to be converted with the MAC and the extension assigned. I have edited the .cft with what I thought was needed in order for the Polycom to boot properly but it doesn't seem to be working as designed at all.

Any and all experiences are welcomed. Thanks!!!

Does anyone have any information on how I can get this IP 1692 phone working.
I am at a remote site and the customer replaced his IP 4690 with this phone but it will not load.
We have CM 5.1.
Where do I get the correct files to enable the phone?
How do I set the phone to accept the HTTP.cfg file?
Avaya doesn't give much info.

Any help would be great.

Thank you,

Hello everyone,
I was able to get the right files to my ftp server and get the IP phone working.
The only issue I am having at this point is that the mute button isn't working. When you press the button you do here the "click" indicating that the button is working but the mute feature isn't.
I have confirmed on the station page that it is set for 2 way speakerphone.
Any ideas on what the problem meay be?

Thank you all

I'm assuming the "mute" option on page 1 of the station form is "yes"?

Speakerphone is 2-way
Mute button enabled yes

There was a 4690 previously but the mute didn't work so I have changed phones but I still have the same problem.

Any other ideas.

Thank you
