Guys if I have a 1616 with 2 side cars connected to a PoE switch, that has a UPS on the PoE switch but not at the desk, what happens if I have a power outage. The desk power injectors will stop working, will the phone completely die?

Thanks for the advice.

the phone will die if the poe switch has no power, should come back up after power is restored

The question is
"If the PoE Switch has power but the power injectors for side car do not; how will the phone act?

Can you expand? Phone will Stay up but side car won't?

I also need a little more than a "Should

Using a PoE switch then you don't need a extra injector for the BLF units, only if it is a 1416 phone you need a injector.

Guys I did some digging and found this:
A maximum of 3 BM32s can be attached to a 1616-I IP Deskphone when used on an Avaya IP Office Call Platform. The BM32 does not require its own power supply, but instead receives power from the phone which can be powered by PoE (if only one BM32 is used with the 1616-I) or by local AC power using the 5V power adapter. If 2 or more Button Modules are to be used with the same 1616-I phone, then the country specific 5V power adapter is required for the phone, and PoE should not be used at the same time.

That means once you add the second BM32 the phone is pulling power off the injector and not the PoE therefor without unplugging side cars in a power outage without a UPS on the power injector.... The phone will lose power
