more info needed...

What type of IPO (IP406v2 or IP500)?
Which IPO SW version (4.X, 5.X, 6.X or 7.X)?
Which FW version on 16XX phones?

It sound slike that the phones are not upgraded to the matching firmware they should have.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Nope. These phones are broken. We have had loads of these. 16xx phones seem to die on reboots.

You need to send these off for repair using your normal channels.

I have used the new 1.300b 16xx firmware available from support.avaya.com to try fix this. We haven't had another one go since, but that site also doesn't reboot his switches too much anymore and put UPs on them to stop his phones failing.

I had one die on reboot the other day. Has 1.3 firmware and was running fine - I restarted the control and the phone now only shows a backlit screen - nothing else. Fortunately, it was in my office.

We've had about 10 of these at one site. My guess it's a bad batch.

Shoddy quality control if you ask me.

Don't know about bad batch, they have done this since release, it's like Russian Roulette when you reboot....quite exciting :)

14xx and 16xx phones are just plain sh*t.

Im trying to force them here to sell 95xx / 96xx only - but its all about the cost.
