Hello, and thanks for your help!
I have a Compaq ML370 G3 server that recently crashed due to thermal failure, I tried to reboot and I get fan failure errors, I take the cover off and 3 of the six fans are not running and have the amber failed light showing.
SO I buy 4 fans and replace the three faulty ones, but guess what they don't work either, but then it gets fishy, The I/O fans work no matter which fans I put in those slots, but on the CPU front and rear slots, I can only get 2 of the four slots working at a time. As soon as I plug a third fan in, it won't spin up and one of the other fans stops!
I thought that they may not getting enough power, so I order a replacemnet PSU and swap that out and the issue persists!
What do I do now?
What is the real issue?
What is the next troubleshooting step?
