I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

It is actually asking for an ipaddress.
Look at the top line, it changes.
This just the counter like you normally see when it is requesting an ipaddress.

Look in monitor and you will see a non ipphone asking for it.

You are all wrong, this is the latest alien version which should be shipped to Zeta-Tauri.

I see my threads has taken the traditional off topic twist, so lets play "Spot the system" how many do you recognise from our lab wall of much testing, stars for the most correct answers :)

Jamie,

I doubt it is a problem with flashing.
The problem came after a couple of weeks and not after the upgrade.
But at least they admit that there is a problem!

The site that we have the phone die after varying amounts reboots. It could be the first time or the 6th time. The customer is still getting his network setup so reboots the switch a few times, and generally kills between 2 and 5 phones nearlly everytime. another 2 when yesterday. We have now had about 30 phones replaced up there out of 80.

Unfortunately, I've not got a straight answer as to if this is the actual issue or not, but I have been advise by our disty to get 1.300b firmware running on this site.

I have seen the same with power issues.
The local power supply is not very good and when you move the phone then the power is gone for about a second.
And then the problem appears.

My eyes!

Since my background is traditionally IT, fortunately I haven't had the honour of working on those piles of poo.

As part of the trade side of the business we refurbish and sell used handsets and so need to test them :)
