the 1603 IP phones are not working properly, we changed their update from 1.2.2 to 1.3.5 (new upgrade16xx with settings46xx updated) and when we restarts the phones it keeps the old version that same not been found in the HTTP server and does not download the new update,
What should we do to solve this problem?
is it necessary to restart the S8720 Servers?
BEST REGARDS.

I feel your question would be best directed here. This is the ip office forum.

Where do you have the phone firmware? Does the phone try download the 16xxupgrade from that destination?

When the phones boot, do you see the http message 200 or 404?

Are you using DHCP for option 242 or LLDP?

when the phones restarts they try to download the old version(1.2.2) that i suppressed from HTTP server!!!!
and i see the http message 404
we are using the DHCP for option 242.

You say the filename is "upgrade16xx" in the first post, I assume it's 16xxupgrade.scr?

Did you changed this upgrade file?

You need to add the Firmware but you also need to edit or update the Settings and Upgrade files too! And they must be in the same directory.

If the path name of the new software is not in the Upgrade file, this will not working.

Look into this doc for more information.
