I have heard that Windows 98 ME not support 16-bit applications is this true (where Win 95\98\98se do)?

I have some older VB3 applications that I would like to use. I do not yet have Win98 ME to test.

Thanks,

Windows ME is pretty similar to Win95/98 in many ways. However, ME introduces new features such as System Restore that has been known to interfere with some applications not designed for ME.

Apps developed only for Windows 95 typically worked in 98 with no problems. However, the jump from 98 to ME was a little different and not quite as friendly. You never know until you try, but it is quite possible that some 16-bit apps might have problems.

It would be incorrect to say ALL 16-bit apps aren't supported...
