I have 2 receptionists with 1416's and a dbm32 (1 each)

One users button module works fine for a while, but it seems that when a call comes in, after teh call is answered, you hear a click, and the dbm no longer works until reboot.
Has anyone seen this before? Is there a fix? The phones all updated when plugged in, but not sure about the modules.

These things are flaky.

Is there a bin file for the dbm? (I only see one for the bm32 (gbm file))

Yes I have a power brick, on each of the phones.

We recently installed a new Avaya IP Office system complete with 1400 series telsets. Having the same issues with the 1416 and the DBM32 everyone else is having. Avaya Business Partner told me the maintenance release to fix the problem was supposed to be released yesterday, August 16th. Anyone know if it did or have a timeline?? We really need our button module functional. Thanks

It is not released but it will work.
I have tried the fiedtrial version and the DBM32's do work like they should.

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

Indeed, I can confirm the next GA release makes the button module work correctly, just make sure it's disconnected from the 1416 while the handset upgrades then re-connect it and you're good :)

It also fixes the cli shown on ipdect (r4) phones while in a huntgroup and the SD card troubles (first i want to see it)

Come on Avaya - Man Up and Release it already!!!! I need these DBM32's working!

We know it still has bugs, but it's got to be better then the current swiss cheese version!!!!

You gonna post it on friday night and then go home so we have no support? Chicken?

LOL - "All the Issues" :) I still can past the second button press. To think more issues exists beyond completely dysfunctional

Shame, it looks good, just wish it work..... Should call it the WIFE-32 :)

Well I guess I'll stop checking the IP Office Downloads site multiple time a day.

Thanks for the update

Yea!!!!!!!!!

Patch is on the Avaya site! I'm Downloading it now :)

Anybody else load it yet?

did you read the tech bulletin it is listed as a new feature.
Now the DBM32's are actually working LOL
I will load it on a plagued customer site on Monday after spending a lot of time trying pretty much everything else including Avaya support that told me to send logs and configs and bla bla bla
let me know if you upgrade and it works.

insanity is just a state of mind

Took abount 15 minutes to extract and upgrade manager and backup and then just about 40 minutes to upgrade the IP500v2 and flash all the phones (20 1416 phones and a few 9600.)

(lost about 10 minutes till I figured out the default password of "password" to upgrade - was trying administrator - duh)

Just about an hour and all seems good so far and the DBM32 is working (so far)

Keep my fingers crossed for tomorrow that there are no new bugs.

Note: The IP Handsets came up quick, but the firmware on the digital sets does take about 15 minutes to copy during which time they don't obviously work.

Still on a job. Is one of the fixes for the reboot 500v2 defaults programming????

i love my job, i love my job, i love my job....

Telecomtekperson.
This is mentioned in the techbulletin.
I even had to format the SD card because it was read only and a reboot did not fix that.
After the format it came back that i needed it to format with windows which i did.
Then i formatted it with Manager and it is still running fine :)

Upgrading those 1400 phones takes too long but we cannot help that.
Do you have a DS30 and did you go for 3.2.999 first ?
