1408 problems on ver7

Hi Guys,

I have done a pre-installation build on a system due to be installed tomorrow and have a problem with the 1408 handsets.

After plugging them in and allowing them to download the bin and language files the display shows Button Feature with a soft key giving the select option, I have tried various methods to get the display to show the normal Extn number, date and time display with no success.

Could you help please?

Try this...press the feature button in the display, scroll to phone user and press select, scroll to phone screen settings and press select, scroll to show call waiting, and press change or press the left or right arrow button to turn the feature on. When done, simply press Done.

I do this for all 14xx phones an on install.

Sorry, that was just for caller id for multiple calls to display,

try this whole sequence.

FEATURES
· Up Arrow 3 Times
· SELECT (Call Settings)
· Up Arrow 3 Times
· ON (Show Waiting Call)
· BACK
· Up Arrow
· SELECT (Phone User)
· Up Arrow
· SELECT (Phone Screen Settings)
· Up Arrow
· CHANGE (Display Name ON)
· DONE

Cheers for the replies, those will be helpful.

Got to the bottom of the problem, when you leave the users on basic user rights in R7 it defaults the screen to the Button Feature menu. I solved the problem by applying user rights to all users.

is issue with the 1400 and 1600 series phones, is they are cheap and nasty
