Anybody knows where can I find the db output of a 1408 or any of the Avaya phones for that matter? My customer is hearing impaired and needs a very loud phone, he is looking at a New Sound CSC600 that has 50db but its analog and he wants digital.

Thanks,

50dB ?
that is less than good in my opinion (just going from memory) so I googled it

Weakest sound heard 0dB
Whisper Quiet Library at 6' 30dB
Normal conversation at 3' 60-65dB
Telephone dial tone 80dB

not that I could offer any real measurements for the phones but just to point out that 50dB is not that great either

That is interesting, I googled the CSC600 and found the following:
- 50 dB adjustable handset amplification
- Speakerphone in base
- 95 dB adjustable ringer and bright visual ringer
- 6 Programmable memory keys
- Outgoing speech amplification (12 dB)

This phone is supposed to be designed for the hearing impaired.
I searched the knowledge base for db on the 1408 but "nada" it seems this information is not readily available, not sure where else to turn to, maybe ATAC?

Thanks,

marathondude,

Grat suggestion, the only reason the customer is looking at the CSC600 is because it qualifies for a federal program but they are obviously for home use not office, I will suggest the ones listed on the link you posted.

Thanks,
