Instead of the usual I mistakenly put "127.198.0.1" in the browser to access my Internet router.

Usually if I put a wrong number in it says "this page cannot be found". But this time, by coincidence, it asks for pw etc. Under the above ip I couldnt find anything in Google, but 127.198.0 did. So I wonder whether that helps.

If I dont put a pw in I get:

So what is this new IP 127.198.0.x?
 
The 127.198.0.1 address is a loopback address, i.e. it identifies your machine.

So essentially you are connecting to a web hosting service on your machine which, as the previous poster has indentified, is likely IIS (Internet Information Service) which runs as a service on your machine.
